Happy Friday, and welcome to the new home for Melissa Goodrich: Independent Artist. Thank you for making the transition from the old to the new with me; I’m happy to have you here!
In case you’re wondering why I had to change my website completely – location included – well, let’s just say the amount of trouble the old one was giving me just wasn’t worth keeping. So instead of fighting tech support, paying extra fees and having the possibility of rebuilding the whole site over again anyway – I just decided to start fresh, do things from scratch, and do it my way the first time.
On this new, revamped version of my website, I am bringing you a LOT of new features. For one, this blog. I’ve never used a blog before in my artistic career, but I’m really excited to start doing this! I hope to give you guys a really neat, inside look at some of the day-to-day things artists do with their time. It’s not all sunshine, magic and dance parties – but most days that’s exactly what it is 🙂
In addition to bringing you new views of the “artist life” (well, the part-time artist, full-time 9-5er life…) I wanted to have a place that’s open for your input, comments, ideas and requests. Facebook, Twitter and social media are great for that, but for those who don’t use it, I’d LOVE to hear from you! All of my blog posts are comment-friendly, and the new contact form on my contact page makes it super easy to get in touch.
So once again, thank you for visiting the new home for me and my art life – and I can’t wait to share my work with you in more ways than ever before.
